How Much Electricity Does a Water Geyser Use? (Instant vs Storage)

Water geysers are among the most power-hungry appliances in any Indian home, drawing between 2,000 Watts and 3,000 Watts when active:

• Storage Geyser (15L to 25L): Typically rated at 2,000 Watts. It heats water in a tank over 20–30 minutes, using about 0.8 to 1.0 unit (kWh) per heating cycle.
